Celebrity Makeup Tips and Celebrities Without Makeup

Linda Robison asked:

How come celebrity makeup looks are so natural yet, so fabulous? No matter what the current makeup trends are or whether it is an everyday look or a glamorous red carpet affair, celebrity makeup always flawless. Read on to find celebrity makeup tips, tricks, and read about stars without makeup

Celebrity Makeup How To

To quickly achieve those great celebrity makeup looks you don’t need to apply tons of makeup or expensive products. Just pay special attention to a few basic areas like the eyes, eyebrows, and skin. Here are some simple secret tricks from makeup artists to the stars to help you look fabulous in no time…………..

Celebrity Eye Makeup Tips

Eyelashes

One of the biggest celebrity eye makeup tip is to emphasis the eyelashes and eyebrows. There are many ways celebs get those bold, long, thick eyelashes without resorting to expensive eyelash extensions or false eyelashes.

One simple trick for great looking thicker lashes is to apply a dusting of powder on the eyelashes right before applying mascara – this will make them much thicker and loner. Another tip is to curl the lashes before applying the mascara…….then apply two coats of curling mascara.

Other secret celebrity makeup tips for natural, yet dramatic eyes include choosing an eyeliner color that compliments your skin tone. For example, Kate Hudson’s makeup artist suggests that fair skinned women should avoid very dark or black eyes or eyeliners. Instead try using a lighter eye liner like medium gold, light brown, or gray. This gives the eyes a dramatic look without looking overdone.

Eyebrows

Eyebrows are one of the most dramatic celebrity makeup looks since they frame the eyes and the entire face. Even when you see a celebrity — like Beyonce — without makeup, they always have perfectly shaped defined eyebrows.

The first step in perfectly groomed eyebrows is to shape them. Celebrity makeup artists use a good quality pair of tweezers to arch and shape, but if you not handy with eyebrow tweezers, consider visiting your local hair salon and spa. Many stylist can quickly shape your brows for a very low cost.
The second step to great brows is to make sure to fill in any bald spots with an eyebrow pencil that matches your brow color.

Use light feathery strokes and only fill the spots that are bold. Making the brows to heavy or dark can make you look angry and old. For red head celebrities like Nicole Kidman, the best color is a light to medium auburn. For blonds use taupe and brunettes, like Angelina Jolie, light or medium brown works best.

Natalie Portman’s makeup artist, Jeanine Lobell likes to use two different brow colors. A lighter one in the front and a darker one from the arch to the ends where hair tends to be thinner.

Celebrity Makeup Looks For Great Skin

Face

One simple basic tip that celebrities from Katie Holmes to Katie Couric swear by is to exfoliate, exfoliate, exfoliate!! Whether or not you plan to wear foundation, having smooth, soft, moist skin can enhance your appearance and give you a natural dewy look. After thoroughly cleaning the skin and before moisturizing, make sure you exfoliate with a natural produt. Exfoliating helps remove dead skin cells, reduce the appearance of fine lines and age spots.

Once the skin is cleaned and exfoliated, it will be able to absorb any moisturizer much better – giving the skin a plumper, hydrated look. As you can see, celebrity makeup looks can be copied by anyone — just by using some of the few simple tricks outlined on this page.

Celebrities Without Makeup

We hardly ever see stars without makeup. However, some can pull it off. Check out the photo of Beyonce without makeup. Beyonce is one of the few celebs that can go without makeup and still look great!

Celebrity Nose Jobs

Savact asked:

I did the research, and all these people have definitely gotten nose jobs. Some small touch ups, some HUGE reconstruction. Pretty much every celebrity ends up getting a nose job… it sucks because sometimes they were really pretty before. For example, did you ever ask yourself why Leelee Sobieski doesn’t get any more (good) work and why she isn’t as pretty as she used to be? It’s because she had a cool looking nose and she made it smaller!

Celebrity Hair Styles – Jennifer Aniston, Jennifer Lopez, & Jessica Simpson-Hairstyle Trend Setters

Brooke Hayles asked:

Celebrities are the modern day gods and heroes, and their fashion styles are carefully scrutinised and copied by millions all over the world. If it looks good on them, then the hope is that we will look as good as they do, if we copy their hair, their make-up, and their clothes. Of course, we can’t look so good without their team of professional make-up artists, stylists and photographers but even if just a little bit rubs off on us, we’ll be happy!

And there are some good reasons to copy the celebrity hairstyles. For a start, they can afford some of the best beauty professionals in the industry. This means they are usually at the front of the fashion trends.

Do you know whose hairstyle of the 70’s has been the most emulated celebrity hairstyle? Farrah Fawcett Major, the American actress who starred in the series ‘Charlie’s Angels’. Her blond, rough cut, layered and feathered, flicked style was copied by young women everywhere.

And do you know whose celebrity hairstyle of the 80’s was the most popular? Meg Ryan, whose tousled, layered hair that accentuated her natural wave made hairstylists wonder if there were any other requests for a style than ‘the Meg Ryan Cut’.

And whose celebrity hairstyles have been the most popular during the last couple of years? Jennifer Aniston and Jennifer Lopez would have to be up there, although some say that Jessica Simpson locks could be added to the list.

What about the men? The male celebrity hairstyles are also carefully watched by the hairstyle experts. Ashton Kutcher’s tousled textured hair is quickly gaining in popularity with Matthew Fox, Adrien Brody, and Johnny Depp styles getting a look- in.

It just goes to show that fashion is always changing, even month by month. To really be on the cutting edge, so to speak, you need to be constantly checking web-sites dedicated to celebrity hairstyles to get a clear idea of who is wearing the ‘in’ thing. And they don’t all agree with each other, so do some research and compare notes.

If you look at the changing ‘in’ styles over just the last year, you’ll get some idea of how quickly fashion changes. Take color for instance: During winter the soft, rich brown tones were popular with platinum white/blonde color tones not ‘in’. This all changed during summer to ash and platinum blondes being ‘in’ with dark brown and red on the outer. And style; the old school glamour styles of summer were replaced with flicked back curls during autumn, and solid bangs and headbands for winter. Yes, you certainly need to keep an eye on hairstyle fashion if you want to look like a celebrity!

However, remember that you don’t have a celebrity hairstyle team on hand so make sure you choose a hairstyle that you can keep looking good all day. Not only should you like the look of it, it should suit you too. Some styles may look great on a celebrity but be totally wrong for your shaped face and hair type. It’s best to make a collection of celebrity hairstyles you like and then ask your hairstylist which one would be the best for you.

SUMMARY
Celebrities can afford the best hairstylists and often wear the latest trends making fashion statements that others want to follow. But fashion changes quickly. How do you keep up with celebrity hairstyle trends?

Celebrity Hairstyles in 2007: Jessica Alba’s Look

Brooke Hayles asked:

If you are searching for a new look this year, why not check out the latest celebrity hairstyles in 2007. Most women like to start a new year with a new hair style and where better to go for inspiration than to the pictures of the stars. Celebrities have to look their best because so much of what constitutes celebrity is image. To keep this image, the stars have the best stylists around to keep them on their toes.

It’s a good idea to copy celebrity hairstyles. Not only does it set a trend, but if we get it right, we look better ourselves. Just remember when you do this, you will only look your best if you choose a style that suits you. When you look at some of the emerging celebrity hairstyles in 2007, remember that celebrity stylists are very careful to get the look just right. This means taking into consideration the star’s natural coloring and the shape of her face. Blonde hair may look great on Kate Moss but will it suit your own skin-tone? Blonde hair is good with fair skin but it doesn’t suit everyone.

Whether you choose blonde or not, there seems to be a trend towards short and curly this year. Both Jessica Alba and Elizabeth Banks have gone for wavy hair with a side part and plenty of volume reminiscent of the 1920’s and ’30’s. This is a style that is very wearable and suits most face shapes – worth giving it a try if you like the shorter styles.

If you like your hair long, why not take a leaf out of Beyonce’s book and give it some curl. If you want this style to stay looking good, you need to make sure your hair has plenty of body and shine – two top tips for celebrity hairstyles in 2007.

Celebrity Heights and Weights

Michael Lawstock asked:

The number of obese people around the world is increasing at an alarming rate. From sedentary lifestyles to lack of exercise and junk food, almost every conceivable reason is being attributed to this rising number. Fortunately these days there is an increased awareness about losing weight among people, thanks mainly to celebrities. In fact celebrity weight and height can act as the much needed trigger for anyone to start off on a program to shed all those extra flab.

Not all celebrities were born with the perfect shape or figure. Most of them have worked hard to get that kind of a shape. Take for instance Jennifer Lopez, who is weighs 120 pounds and is 5′7″ tall. She is a strict disciplinarian when it comes to regular workouts and her diet. The same goes for most of the macho men of Hollywood too. Sylvester Stallone stands 5′9″ tall and weighs 220 pounds, while Arnold Schwarzenegger stands 6′2″ tall and weighs 257 pounds. These two legendary stars have been in fact instrumental in people getting more conscious about their fitness and physique the world over. Their brawn has been able to draw crowds to movies along with making them health conscious.

The next time you drool over George Clooney who is weighs 210 pounds and his 5′11″ tall or on Brad Pitt who is all of 6 feet tall and weighs 200 pounds, you should also remember the kind of hard work these celebrities have put in for getting into that kind of a shape. Celebrity weight and height is mostly about working out regularly and sticking to a strict diet.

A diet that is rich in healthy carbohydrates and fats is one of the secrets of celebrity weight and height. Most of them gorge on food items that are rich in protein and fiber. Fiber is easily digestible and proteins provide the much needed energy for them to workout. This kind of a diet also ensures that a lesser number of calories are consumed by a person too.

Celebrity weight and height has become a fetish with many people. Although it the vital physical measurements of a celebrity can act as a good motivational factor for those embarking on a fitness program, one should not be carried away with false claims that you may sometimes come across. You must always remember that unless and until you are naturally well endowed, there is no other short cut to celebrity measurements. You will simply need to enjoy your workout sessions and eat right.

A New Breed of Celebrity Moms

Jan Bay asked:

In every magazine, there is at least one story filled with gossip about new celebrity moms and their babies. You know the ones that I mean; the ones that we are a little embarrassed if we’re caught reading at the checkout counter at the grocery store. Celebrity baby tracking is nothing new. The public has been peeking inside their world of movie star mothers for quite some time. And I must include myself in their numbers.

One interesting item of note is that the latest idols of the silver screen are nothing like the stars of my parent’s day. Many have noted that they are becoming less glamorous and more like average everyday people. Even though they have access to haute couture clothing we see them in photographs wearing jeans, athletic shoes and more importantly they are accompanied by their families which gives evidence that today’s celebrity moms are actually enjoying hanging out with the kids, decorating the baby’s nursery and doing all the ordinary stuff that every mother does for their newborn.

Remember back in the day when the yearly, televised Christmas Special might be the only time that celebrities and their babies shared the same room? Either photographers gave them more privacy and only snapped pictures at scheduled photo shoots or the little ones knew they were supposed to be seen and not heard.

Whatever the reason, this style of celebrity parenting has fallen by the wayside and has been replaced with hands-on parenting by loving mothers and fathers which is a far cry from the movie star moms that are depicted in those nasty, best selling tell all books. I recently saw Nicole Kidman tear up at the mention of little Sunday Rose on a national talk show. And it’s nothing to see Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes out and about with Suri dressed in Baby Gap on a daily basis without so much as a glimpse of a nanny or assistant in tow.

I, for one, am more than willing to sacrifice a certain amount of star factor and glamour for the privilege of witnessing the enjoyment these celebrity moms and dads get out of the day to day life they share with their babies. It’s good to see that the alleged shortcomings of the likes of Betty Davis and Joan Crawford are not being repeated by the new breed of celebrity mothers. Here’s hoping that none of these celebrity babies ever feel the need to confess that they have suffered the nightmare brand of upbringing that some film stars of yesteryear were reported to have inflicted on their kids.
